E3 2005 Hall of Shame
[back]

One of our more popular features on GameGal, the annual E3 Hall of Shame exposes some of the out of control examples of "Booth Babe" excess seen every year at the show. This year, we were pleased to find fewer examples of Shame-worthy behavior, perhaps thanks to the increased mainstream media attention.

Of course, there's always a few examples worthy of our annual send-up, and here are some of the more off-the-wall ones. We've left the company names out to protect the innocent...and the guilty.

Booth babes encounter the concept of reflexivity in media, as we snap a shot of an E3 attendee snapping a shot of the aforementioned booth babes.

Male wizards get long flowing robes and big floppy hats, while their female counterparts look like they shop at Frederick's of Hollywood.

We know it's tough being an actress/model in LA, but there's got got to be better gigs than pretending to have a sleepover party in the middle of a trade show.

See what happens when game companies only bring XXL-sized promo t-shirts?

They're smiling on the outside, but three days of snapping Polaroids with sweaty game geeks leads these girls to swear off Guild Wars forever.

These booth babes stay stylish in their genuine wookie-fur boots.

Tinfoil bras and fishnet stockings? It's either goth night at the teen club or extras from a Roger Corman movie.

Finally a little something for the ladies. Hey, we'll take what we can get.
