The
Console Queen doesn't loathe PC gaming, but she's sick and tired
of laying down cash for short-lived upgrades. Now she owns a console,
or two...or four...

Final

Final Fantasy series, X-2 (ten-two) leads Yuna and pals on an adventure

a combination.

SSX
3 (PS2, XBX, GC)
They keep making SSX games, we’ll keep playing them.
Unlike the previous game in the series, this one features all brand-new
tracks and a new gameplay style that keeps all the action on one
mountain. But, for all the changes, it’s still the most fun-packed
snowboarding game out there.

Zeda
Wind Waker (GC)
Link’s back, this time in cute cel-shaded form. That basically
means he looks like a cartoon. The game itself is pretty similar
to the last few Zelda games for the N64. You’ll go on epic
quests, with lots of platform jumping and hack-and-slash fighting,
but we can’t help it – it’s somehow fun despite
the clichés.

Soul Calibur II (PS2,
XBX, GC)
Movie sequels are usually pale imitations of the originals, but
this year, we’ve seen game sequel after game sequel that surpasses
the original. SCII is fun to pick up and play, but also provides
dozens of hours of in-depth gameplay.

Prince of Persia (PS2,
XBX, GC, PC)
The best Tomb Raider style game since the original Lara Croft adventure,
Prince of Persia sends you into a trap-filled castle. One wrong
move, and you could be skewered on spikes, sawed in half or worse.
Good thing you can rewind time a few seconds if you make a wrong
move.
