Prime Time Games Eat Away at TV

Sony has released an internal study purporting to show that online gaming peaks from 5-11pm, taking a bite out of traditional prime time TV viewing. With TV execs foaming at the mouth and accusing the Nielson rating people of “misplacing” a large chunk of viewers this past year, this study may provide a clue as to where they’ve all gone.

Sony would only demurely say that, “Online gaming may increasingly pose a challenge for broadcasters.”
