Explicit Spam Need Labels

The spam we get in our inbox every day is bad enough. What’s worse is the constant barrage of messages offering us nubile teens doing all sorts of things with hairy slug-like men, farm animals or each other. Now, the Federal Trade Commission has issued a new rule for commercial e-mail messages.

Starting May 19, under the proposed rule, such messages would have to carry an explicit warning in the subject line, or the sender would face violations of the CAN-SPAM act, signed into law in December of 2003.
