The Circle of Life

Sony is reporting a whopping 23% drop in annual net profit, taking some of the rosy glow off the video game industry. But before you start fretting – remember, this is just part of the natural cycle of the gaming industry, which we’ve seen several times over.

The PS2 is nearing a saturation point in the marketplace, while everyone’s attention is turning towards the next generation of consoles, still in development. So, look for more news on the portable PSP handheld, and lots of PS3 rumors in the coming months.
