Tight Election for Sims President

Despite never gaining the mainstream userbase that everyone expected, the Sims Online keeps getting a lot of ink and has settled into a modest but loyal membership base of about 50,000 subscribers.

The biggest server, Alphaville, is in the midst of a presidential election, with the 21-year-old incumbent, Arthur Baynes, running against 14-year-old Ashley Richardson of Jupiter Florida. Hot issues include fighting the “griefers” who plague the game the creation of an official Alphaville bank.

Ashley, who is in the eighth grade, won a primary election in March, and polling for the general election starts April 10th at www.avgov.com.
