Halo Coming to Multiplex Near You

halo.jpgWhile we may all snicker at the thought of the upcoming Doom movie, where The Rock fights demons on some planet other than Mars (where all the Doom games are actually set), and we ran in fear from House of the Dead and Alone in the Dark, we're actually kinda interested in the possibility of a Halo movie.

Microsoft wants to make sure the Hollywood studios are super-interested, so they had a guy dressed up as Master Chief, the game's protagonist, hand-deliver a spec script to several studios, hoping to start a bidding war for the film.

The script was penned by Alex Garland, who wrote 28 Days Later, and will probably be totally scrapped once Brett Ratner is attached to direct (we kid, we kid).
