Super Sweet Xbox 360 Guide on AOL Videogames
GameGal founder Libe Goad has put up a really cool flash mini-feature on the Xbox 360 for her "day job" as Editor of the Videogames section of AOL.com. The 360 press is coming fast and furious these days, but this handy guide to 360 features is a nice break from the typical "I waiting outside all night at Best Buy in the rain," stories we've been reading all day.
Also, scroll about halfway down the page, and you'll see GameGal spokescat Scratch modeling next to our Xbox 360 debug unit.

Hooking up the Xbox 360
Check it out - we hooked up our Xbox 360 debug unit last night. That's a special console that plays DVD-R preview copies of games.
It's pretty cool so far, especially with the HD output. Too bad about that gigantic power brick and clunky A/V cable set.
Stay tuned for our takes on some games (so far we're playing Project Gothem Racing 3 and Kameo) plus the new Xbox Live, Media Center functionality and more! Also check out some cool Flickr photos!

Xbox 360 Kiosks at Circuit City
We stopped by the Circuit City in Union Square (that's NYC, ya'll) last night and saw a fully functional Xbox 360 kiosk set up in the store. There was a big crown gathered around watching a customer playing the Call of Duty 2 demo.
There's been a lot of bitching on line about faulty kiosks, or ones that weren't set up properly, but this one looked pretty good to us. The connection to the LCD display was obviously HD -- the graphics were amazingly crisp and clean, although that made the somewhat blocky geometry even more noticeable.

Escapist Covers Girl Gaming
Everyone else under the sun seems to have mentioned this, so I suppose we should as well. Upscale gaming site The Escapist devoted their most recent "issue" to the ever-popular topic of girls in gaming. The site's pretty cool, as they lay all their pages out like magazine spreads, and put out regular "issues" where all the stories on the site are about the same general topic.
