Let's Get Physical
Thursday must be Gamer's Day at the New York Times. In our first reference to today's edition of the Grey Lady, personal trainer simulator Yourself Fitness was featured on the front page of the Arts section. The story covers exercise sims like Yourself Fitness and EyeToy Kinetic, and mostly focuses on the virtual trainers that some people are apparently obsessed with.
Special care was taken to make each cybertrainer universally appealing. Anna and Matt [from EyeToy Kinetic] are robust but not so perfectly chiseled as to intimidate their trainees.

Keeping it Casual
Our second gaming hit from the Time today was part of the Circuits section, now of course relegated to a two-page insert in the Business section. In "Just for Fun, Casual Games Thrive Online," the paper jumps on the casual gaming bandwagon with both feet. Besides shout-outs to Yahoo Games and MSN Zone, AOL Games (where Libe is the editor of the Video Game half of the site) gets some goof column inches.
